I was interacting with one of our Nebraska students on Facebook,
who is doing a missions internship in Mexico. She was explaining
to
me a wonderful testimony about how she recently led someone to
the Lord IN SPANISH. She was interacting with her and could sense
God urging her to ask her if she wanted to pray to receive Jesus.
The girl she was praying with immediately responded 'YES', full
of genuine emotion. They prayed, and this young Spanish girl became
a Christian. Our student made a profound statement:
"It
felt like I was getting saved all over again."
What a wonderful, exciting thing it is to personally lead someone
to the Lord. It can remind us of the joy we had in that initial
moment of experiencing God. It can also refresh our love of the
Lord and inspire us to keep going for God. I was so proud of our
student and how she allowed God to use her in a mighty way. If
the students you are working with need 'a push' from God, I encourage
you to lead them in pursuing personal interactions with people
who need Jesus.
